Betty Tanner (February 5, 1916 – November 8, 1994) was an American actress with dwarfism, best known for her role as one of the Munchkin villagers in the 1939 film "The Wizard of Oz", and was only 3'8" when she appeared in this movie. After her appearance in the Wizard of Oz, she appeared in several Oz related television documentaries, including We're Off to See the Munchkins (1993) and I Married a Munchkin (1994), shortly before her death on November 8, 1994 in her native Lynn, Massachusetts, aged 78.[1]
