Bert Yarnall

Bert Yarnall was a Scottish footballer who played for Airdrieonians, achieving record results in 1916–17. Yarnall finished as the top scorer in the Scottish Football League Division One in that season, scoring 39 goals.[1] This was the highest single-season total ever recorded for the club.[2] Yarnall's career stats are as follows: 1913/14 Blackpool - 9 matches / 1 goal; 1916/17 Airdrie - 33 / 39; 1917/18 Airdrie - 13 / 6; 1917/18 Clydebank - 13 / 5; 1918/19 Dumbarton - 14 / 0; 1919/20 Reading - 5 / 1.[3]
