Benjamin Henrichs (born 23 February 1997) is a German professional footballer who plays for Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen as a midfielder or full back.[1]
Club career
Henrichs made his Bundesliga debut on 20 September 2015 against Borussia Dortmund. He replaced Karim Bellarabi after 78 minutes in a 3-0 away defeat.[2]
International career
Henrichs was born in Germany to a Ghanaian mother and a German father.[3] On 4 November 2016, he was called up to the German national side for the first time by manager Joachim Löw for the nation's World Cup qualifier against San Marino and a friendly match against Italy.[4] He made his debut for Germany in an 8-0 win over San Marino on 11 November 2016.
