Begell House is an academic publisher of medical and scientific journals and books, with a concentration on engineering and biomedical sciences .[1] It is also produces eBooks and digital articles via "Begell Digital Library" and "Thermopedia"[2] It is a privately owned one of the Begell House products. The company headquarters are in Danbury, Connecticut.[3] The company was founded in 1991 by William Begell.[4]

Begell House remains one of the few independent STM publishers in the world. Begell House subscribers include major research, academic and governmental institutions as well as industrial corporations worldwide. Begell House currently publishes 45 peer-reviewed journals and about 10 books annually. All journals are peer-reviewed for academic and professional communities.
