Beaver Buzz is an energy drink line produced in Canada by Good4U Drinks co. (formerly DD Beverage Company) of British Columbia, under the brand of Canadian Beaver Buzz Energy. The beverages include taurine, caffeine, Siberian Ginseng, Guarana seed extract and various vitamins, and use cane sugar instead of commonly used high fructose corn syrup.[1] Sizes include 355 millilitres (12.0 US fl oz; 12.5 imp fl oz) and the Big Buzz brand of 473 millilitres (16.0 US fl oz; 16.6 imp fl oz). Product variations include Citrus, Green tea and Saskatoon berry flavours.[2] Beaver Buzz contains 180 mg caffeine in a standard 355 ml can (510 mg/l).

The beverage is distributed by retailers in all regions of Canada[3][4] and was noted in national[3] and regional[5] press coverage. In early 2009, the company introduced Beaver Natural Soda', a line of microbrewed non-energy soft drinks based on all natural ingredients.[6] Double D Beverage has now launched both Beaver Buzz Energy and Beaver Natural Soda in the United States as of August 2009, after encountering initial difficulties in delivering the products into that country.[7] The Buzz Energy brands also traded in the United Kingdom as Bulldog Buzz, and in 2008 was selected as the official energy drink of the Batley Bulldogs team selected.[8][9]

At its peak in 2008 Beaver Buzz Energy was grossing more than $600,000 per month in sales across Canada and in the United Kingdom, Although the retail listing base has been reduced the brand has retained a loyal consumer base, particularly in Western Canada.

DD (Double D) Beverage Company was founded by Andrew Drayson and Richard DeBanks, who subsequently went on to also create a line of Sports Nutrition Drinks called GOOD4U Drinks, owned and operated by GOOD4U Drinks Co. As of August 2011 GOOD4U Drinks had also grossed more than $1,000,000 in revenue making Richard DeBanks and Andrew Drayson part of a very select group of entrepreneurs that have managed to create 2 consecutive multi million dollar companies from scratch and without the aid of venture capital or private equity.
