Beauty and the Beast is an action platformer developed by Probe Software and published by Hudson Soft for the NES. It was released in Europe in 1994.[1] Gaston, logically, is the final boss of the game because he wants to kill the Beast and marry Belle.

The game was scheluded for a North American release, however for unknown reasons, it was never released. Prototype(s) of it exist, however it has been not dumped. The game is not playable on a North American console, because the VBlank refresh period was hardcoded to 50 Hz.
