"Be the One" is a song by English singer Dua Lipa, released on 30 October 2015 as the second single from her upcoming self-titled debut studio album (2017). It was written by Lucy Taylor and Digital Farm Animals, and produced by the latter, with vocal production by Jack Tarrant.[1] The song has attained chart success throughout Europe and later on in Australia.

Background

In an interview with Nylon magazine, Lipa stated that "Be the One" is about "self belief, perseverance, and fighting for what you want [...] In this instance, it's about a relationship but really, this is an attitude I try to bring into everything in my life."[2]

Music video

The music video for "Be the One" was directed by Nicole Nodland and filmed in the streets of Soho, London.[3] It premiered on 29 October 2015.[2]
