Backstabbing for Beginners is an upcoming political thriller, based on the novel of the same name. It follows the corruption scandal in the UN Oil-for-Food Programme, and stars Ben Kingsley and Theo James.

Plot

The film follows Michael (James) a young UN worker working at the Oil-for-Food Programme, as he uncovers a major corruption scandal, possibly involving his own boss (Kingsley).[3]

Cast

Production

Josh Hutcherson was originally set to star in the movie but dropped out and was replaced by Theo James.[7] Filming started in March in Marrakech, Morocco.[4][5][8] Part of the filming took place in Copenhagen in April 2016.[2]
