Baala Bandhana is a 1971 Indian Kannada language romantic drama film directed by Peketi Sivaram. It stars Rajkumar and Jayanthi in the lead roles.[1] The film was a remake of A. Bhimsingh's Tamil film Padikkadha Medhai (1960) and was produced under ALS Productions. It had a very successful soundtrack composed by G. K. Venkatesh. It could not meet the success of Tamil and Telugu versions. The reason attributed was that the audience felt Sampath could not match the performance of S.V.Rangarao.[2]
