Autorité de la concurrence

The Autorité de la concurrence (English: Competition Authority) is France's national competition regulator. Its predecessor was established in the 1950s.

High Profile cases

In 2016 the Autorité de la concurrence handed out fines to Colgate-Palmolive, Henkel, Unilever, Procter & Gamble, Reckitt Benckiser, Sara Lee, SC Johnson, Bolton Solitaire, Groupe Vendôme SA, Gillette, L'Oreal, Beiersdorf and Vania totalling €948.9million for price-fixing on personal hygiene products The fines were upheld by Court of Appeal.[1]
