Atoka Municipal Airport (ICAO: KAQR, FAA LID: AQR) is a city owned, public use airport located one nautical mile (2 km) northwest of the central business district of Atoka, a city in Atoka County, Oklahoma, United States.[1] It is included in the National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for 2011–2015, which categorized it as a general aviation facility.[2]

Although most U.S. airports use the same three-letter location identifier for the FAA and IATA, this airport is assigned AQR by the FAA,[1] but has no designation from the IATA.[3][4]

Facilities and aircraft

Atoka Municipal Airport covers an area of 490 acres (198 ha) at an elevation of 590 feet (180 m) above mean sea level. It has one runway designated 18/36 with an asphalt surface measuring 3,015 by 40 feet (919 x 12 m). For the 12-month period ending July 28, 2009, the airport had 3,500 general aviation aircraft operations, an average of 291 per month.[1]
