The following is a list of solo albums by Therapy? frontman Andy Cairns.

53 Minutes Under Byker

53 Minutes Under Byker is the first solo album release by Andy Cairns, recorded in a single six-hour session at Blast Studios in Newcastle on 24 April 2013. The CD contains acoustic interpretations of Therapy? songs, 6 brand new songs written exclusively for the album and a cover version of a song by Love.[1] It was sold initially on his UK tour beginning with a show in Birmingham on 13 May 2013. The CD was also later sold at solo gigs in Holland, Belgium and Ireland. Following the tour, the last few remaining copies were made available for sale on the official Therapy? website. The album is now sold out.[2]

"On the 24th of April, 2013, I went into Blast Studios, Newcastle, UK to record a souvenir CD for the Acoustic tour in May/June. With the help of studio engineer, Mark Broughton I started recording at 11.00AM and finished at 17.10PM. It was just myself on an acoustic with a few mikes placed around me. Most of the tracks were first takes apart from Meat Abstract where I was finding my feet, Our Love Must Die because I forgot the lyrics and had to Google them and a new song, Meltdown Bound which I had to abandon for a later date as my fingers were too tired to play the tricky fingerpicking bits I'd written a few days earlier.

It's mostly Therapy? tunes but also some new ones, written in the previous couple of weeks especially for the session. The track Lost In Care was written for the 'A Brief Crack of Light' album but only a snippet of it was used in the track The Buzzing. We also meant to record Living in the Shadow of the Terrible Thing, Exiles, Crooked Timber and Six Mile Water but ran out of time.

Thanks very much for coming to the show and picking up this CD, I hope you enjoy it and thanks also for your continued support of Therapy? After this short tour we'll be getting together to work on our next album and look forward to seeing you all soon.

Best, Andy C 30/4/13" - (liner notes)

Fuck You Johnny Camo is the second solo album release by Andy Cairns, recorded in a single five-and-a-half-hour session at Blast Studios in Newcastle on 18 August 2014. The CD contains acoustic interpretations of Therapy? songs, 4 brand new songs written exclusively for the album and several instrumental interludes.[3] It was sold exclusively on his UK tour beginning with a show in Bristol on 10 September 2014.

"HELLO. Thanks for buying this CD.

Your support is very much appreciated. What you have here was recorded at Blast Studios, Newcastle upon Tyne on the 19th of August 2014. The engineer was Liam Gaughan.

We started the session at 11.30am and finished at 17.00. There are sixteen songs, four 'interludes' and two pieces of sound recorded on my phone.

Armed With Anger takes its title from a book by Ian Glasper and a UK hardcore record label. It was originally intended for the next Therapy? record but was deemed "too poppy" as was Demons! Demons! Both these tunes were written under the influence of the Ulster record label Good Vibrations.

Meltdown Bound has been kicking about for over a year now but it's finally recorded. I usually use a guitar capo for this one but I was confused about the tuning so played it in a lower key.

For the four interludes I have one guitar in the left speaker and another in the right. Neither guitar has any idea what the other is doing. The first phone sample is from a beach in East Anglia and the second is from The House is Black by Forough Farrokhzad.

Many of the T? songs here are recorded in a lower register than usual as it's an approach I wanted to try.

I hope you enjoy this. I'm looking forward to catching up with you again with Therapy? very soon,

Love and Respect, ANDY C

This was recorded using mainly my Gibson J200 acoustic but with my Norman B18 as 'The Other Guitar' on the interludes.

The photographs are by Jonah Cairns. Thanks to Kris, Jonah, Michael, Neil, Gerry, Susan, Paul Bolton, Steve Firth, Eric, Carol, Polly and Liam at Blast, Paul Burgess for the sleeve, Julian at Gibson UK and to your good selves for helping keep me plough my own musical path for the last twenty five years" - (liner notes)
