The Andhra Pradesh Police is the law enforcement agency for the state of Andhra Pradesh in India. After the state split into Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, in 2014, the police forces also split up.
Organizational structure
Andhra Pradesh Police comes under direct control of Department of Home Affairs, Government of Andhra Pradesh. The Andhra Pradesh Police is headed by Director General of Police (DGP).[2]
All Police Vehicles are Registered in AP-18-P series Registered in RTA-Vijayawada (AP-09P used until formation of Telangana)
