Alexei Kovalev (referee)

Alexei Borisovich Kovalev (Russian: Алексе́й Бори́сович Ковалёв; born August 10, 1973 in Tambov, USSR[1]) is a Russian football referee. In the past, he was a football player. He played as a midfielder. He played for the amateur team "Lokomotiv" (Tambov).[2]

Judicial career began in 1993. Since 2006, the judge matches of the Russian championship. Referee regional category. Chairman of the Board of Tambov Football Federation referees.[1] in 2008, Kovalev took third place in the contest Golden mantle, awarded to the best referees of Russia.[1]
