Alexander Holtmann is a cinema, television and theatre actor known for his characters in The Chosen, Capadocia, El Señor de los Cielos, Qué bonito amor, Fortuna, La Patrona amongst others.

Biography

Alexander Holtmann was born in Bad Segeberg, Germany. He is the third and last child of a Finnish mother and German father. He spent his teenage years in Helsinki, Finland, where he played a small part in the film Kiljusten herrasvaen uudet seikkailut by Polarfilms.

At the age of 20, after finishing his military service as a field medic in the German army, he moved to Los Angeles to attend The Stella Adler Academy under direction of Irene Gilbert. Holtmann graduated with honors in 2002.

In 2005 traveled to Mexico City to play the part of "el gringo" aka "Mochadedos" in the film "Los pajarracos" starred by Miguel Rodarte and Ivonne Montero.

Alexander Holtmann interprets Sheldon in the film The Chosen, Mexico - Spain coproduction directed by Antonio Chavarrías, along with an international cast including Alfonso Herrera, Hannah Murray, Henry Goodman, Julian Sands, Javier Godino, Brontis Jodorowsky, amongst others.

Alexander stars in Humboldt, México para los mexicanos a controversial play by Ernesto Anaya Ottone, gives life to Maximilian on the Televisa program Grandes transformaciones de México, also he is working on the movie La gran promesa next to Juan Manuel Bernal.
