Alexander Jerome Gould (born May 4, 1994) is an American actor. Gould played Twitch in How to Eat Fried Worms and Shane Botwin in Weeds. He also voiced Nemo in Finding Nemo and Bambi in Bambi II.

Personal life

Gould was born in Los Angeles, to Tom and Valerie Gould. He has two younger sisters, Emma and Kelly, who are actresses. Gould practices Judaism, and is active in the Conservative Jewish youth group USY (he was president of his local USY synagogue chapter during his senior year of high school). He participated in Nativ, a gap year program, where he spent ten months living in Israel, including time in the Negev desert, teaching English to elementary school children.[1][2][3][4] Gould is a student at Brandeis University.[4][5] He formerly attended Clark University in Worcester, Massachusetts, until the end of his sophomore year when he transferred to Brandeis, in Waltham, Massachusetts, where he is studying Philosophy.

Career

Gould made his television debut in Freaks and Geeks and feature film debut They. He voiced the title characters in Finding Nemo and Bambi II. Gould played Shane Botwin in Showtime's Weeds and David Collins in the WB remake of the soap opera Dark Shadows, but its pilot episode was rejected by The WB and never aired.
