Alexander Colby "Alex" Ellis (born February 10, 1993) is an American football tight end for the Jacksonville Jaguars of the National Football League (NFL). He was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Tennessee Titans after the 2016 NFL Draft.[1] He played college football at the Tennessee.

College Career

Ellis attended the University of Tennessee where he played as a tight end for the Tennessee football team.

Professional career

Tennessee Titans

On May 9, 2016, the Tennessee Titans announced they had signed 11 undrafted free agents, including Ellis. On September 2, 2016, Ellis was waived by the Titans as they trimmed down their roster to 53 players.

Jacksonville Jaguars

On September 5, 2016, he was signed to the Jacksonville Jaguars practice squad. On November 26, 2016, he was promoted to their active roster, where he played his first NFL game against the Buffalo Bills.
