Aleksei Zharkov

Aleksei Dmitrievich Zharkov (Russian: Алексей Дмитриевич Жарков; 27 March 1948 – 5 June 2016) was a Soviet and Russian film and theater actor. He was a People's Artist of Russia (1994).^[1]

Biography

Aleksei Zharkov graduated from Moscow Art Theater School (acting course of Alexander Karev). In 1971-1988 years - Zharkov is an actor of Yermolova Theatre. In 1988-2000 years - an actor of Chekhov Moscow Art Theatre. Zharkov returned to Yermolova theater in 2000.

Zharkov played more than a hundred roles in movies. He had a very distinctive voice, so often invited the actor to voice the role of other actors.

Personal life

Aleksei Zharkov has been married only once. In 1972, his wife was a former flight attendant Lyubov. He has two children: Maxim (works police inspector) and Anastasia, who became an actress, like her famous father.

In 2012, Zharkov suffered a stroke, after which the actor is temporarily paralyzed. Last time he lived at the dacha outside Moscow. At the beginning of March 2016 there was a new attack. Aleksei Zharkov died June 5, 2016 in Moscow; the cause of death was heart failure after a long illness. The actor is buried in a small cemetery in the Naro-Fominsk.
