Alan Beckwith

Alan Beckwith (born January 2, 1952) is an American actor who worked in California during the 1970s and 1980s. He debuted in The Basic Training of Pavlo Hummel and appeared in From Here to Eternity

Early life and military career

Beckwith was born in Tyrone, Pennsylvania and graduated from high school in 1969. He graduated from Penn State University in 1972 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering. Following this he served in the United States Air Force. He served in the United States Marine Corps and was a 1972 graduate of Officer Candidate School in Quantico, Virginia. After his commission, he was sent to flight school at NAS in Pensacola, Florida.

Career

He had his theatrical debut in a Jon Voight production in Los Angeles of The Basic Training of Pavlo Hummel. This led to television and film work throughout the 1970s and 1980s. He worked with director Buzz Kulik in the 1970s on three separate occasions. Retired in Studio City, Los Angeles.
