Alamo National Forest

Alamo National Forest was established by the U.S. Forest Service in New Mexico on January 15, 1918 with 66,008 acres (267.12 km2) by consolidating Guadelupe and Sacramento National Forests. On July 1, 1919 the entire forest was transferred to Lincoln National Forest and the name was discontinued. [1]

The lands now comprise the Guadalupe and Sacramento Districts of Lincoln National Forest. [2]
