History

Qadeer-ul-Uloom is a Non-Government Organisation (NGO) working for educational consolidation in backward regions of Sambhal with special emphasis on minority and women education. The NGO was founded in 1992 in Mandi Kishan Das Sarai (Sher Khan Sarai) Sambhal by social reformer Haji Abdul Qadeer.[9]

Initially, it started with setting up of a co-educational theological school named Madarsa Ahle-Sunnat Qadeer-ul-Uloom Husainiya Ashrafiya under the patronage of Mujahid-e-Dauran Hazrat Syed Muzaffar Husain Kichhauchhvi. With the passage of time, the NGO convened for imparting modern scientific education along with art and literature.

The NGO is registered with Registrar of Societies and runs the following institutions:

  1. Al-Qadeer Higher Secondary School
  2. Al-Qadeer Junior High School
  3. Al-Qadeer Public School
  4. Madarsa Ahle-Sunnat Qadeer-ul-Uloom Husainiya Ashrafiya.

Minority Character

Al-Qadeer Higher Secondary School is a Minority Educational Institution[10] as declared by the National Commission for Minority Educational Institutions, Government of India. The minority character is granted under section 2(g)[11] of National Commission for Minority Educational Institutions Act-2004 which finds its rationale from Article 30[12] of Constitution of India[13] Minority character of the institutions enables the latter for its administrative and academic procedures to be controlled and governed, in accordance with the law, by the management committee, containing members from Muslim minority community. The school has secular credentials and minority character of the institution has no business to interfere with it. Students from all communities, castes and religion are equally welcomed.
