Akshay Dinakar is an American violinist and YouTube personality.[1] He is a three-time member of Carnegie Hall's National Youth Orchestra of the United States of America.[2][3][4] His YouTube Channel, Akshay Dinakar Music, has earned over 100,000 views, and in August 2015, Dinakar signed a contract with The QYOU, an international television network which broadcasts music videos to over 35 different countries. Dinakar currently serves as the Founder and Artistic Director of The Stanford Flashmob Orchestra (SFmO), a brand new ensemble (founded November 2015) that performs spontaneous arrangements of pop songs and movie themes, flash-mob style, with the goal of spreading unexpected joy across campus through music.[5] Dinakar is a graduate of Shawnee Mission East High School, and currently attends Stanford University.[6]
