Football career

After starting out professionally at local Atlético Madrid, playing two third division seasons with its reserves, Núñez joined CD Tenerife in the 2009 summer. On 23 September of that year, he made his La Liga debut in a 1–0 home win against Athletic Bilbao,[1] appearing in only five league games as the Canary Islands team was eventually relegated back.

After a further top flight appearance, with Rayo Vallecano,[2] Núñez returned to the lower leagues of his country, where he represented a host of clubs.
