Biography

He moved from Srinagar to Chennai in 2004. And continued his education there in Madras Christian College matriculation school, and started modeling in 2006 when he was 16. After graduation in visual communication he earned a diploma in 3D animation and movie making from Maac in Chennai. After achieving success in modeling in Chennai he moved to Bangalore in 2010. There he started spending more time tending to his passion: photography and modeling. He moved to mumbai in 2014 to try his luck on the silver screen. After getting his diploma from known Barry John's acting institute he gave his first audition for a role in Neerja. He got selected as the negative lead.

Early life and Career

In 2016, he made his debut on the silver screen as a Palestinian hijacker in Sonam Kapoor starrer Neerja[3] which "made more than just heads turn in blink-and-miss-Bollywood". Displaying a skull cap, customary beard and kohl rimmed eyes, he thrusts his way onto the aisle, terrorizing passengers in the Pan Am Flight 73, taking them hostage. Unlike his on-screen role, Zahoor doesn’t believe in the popular but misconstrued definition of a terrorist.[4]

Zahoor left Kashmir in 2005 to study and simultaneously pursue his goal. He got a diploma in 3D animation and filmmaking at Maac. He walked the ramp for various agencies in Chennai and Bengaluru during his struggling years.[5][6]
