ABERT

For other uses, see Abert (disambiguation).

ABERT is the Brazilian Association of Radio and Television Broadcasters (in Portuguese, Associação Brasileira das Emissoras de Rádio e Televisão). It was founded in 1962. The association has only two of the major television networks as members: Rede Globo and Rede Record. Other networks, SBT, Band and RedeTV!, who were once ABERT members, started a separate organization, ABRA - Associação Brasileira de Radiodifusores (Brazilian Broadcasters' Association), which had Record as one of its founding members, but the network left ABRA and returned to ABERT.
