4G (film)

4G is an upcoming Tamil action-comedy film written and directed by Venkat Pakkar, starring G. V. Prakash Kumar, Suresh Menon and Sathish in the leading roles. The film began production during October 2016 and will release in 2017.^[1]

Production

The film was officially announced in October 2016, with C. V. Kumar coming together with newcomer director Venkat Pakkar, an erstwhile assistant of Shankar, for a project titled 4G. G. V. Prakash Kumar and Sathish were signed on to play the film's leading roles and attended a launch event held in Chennai during the middle of the month.^[2] Prakash Kumar revealed that he would work on the film, simultaneously alongside several other films including Adangathey.^[3][4] Suresh Menon, who acted in several Tamil films in the early 1990s, announced that 4G would mark his comeback and subsequently joined the cast in later October 2016.^[5]

The film began production in Hyderabad during mid-November 2016.^[6]
