The 3rd Metro Davao Infantry Battalion (Ready Reserve),^[1] known officially as 3rd Metro Davao Ready Reserve Battalion, is one of the battalions of the Philippine Army Reserve Command, which is organic to the 22nd Infantry Division (Ready Reserve). It is an infantry unit, and specializes in Urban Operations, disaster relief, and Civil Military Operations.

Mission

Base for expansion of the Regular Force in the event of war, invasion or rebellion within its AOP.^[2]
Assist the Government in Relief and Rescue Operations in the event of Calamities or Disasters.^[3]
Assist the Government in Socio-economic development and environmental concerns.^[4]
Assist in the operation and maintenance of essential government and private utilities (e.g. power, telecommunications, water).^[2]

Training

A company sized contingent was trained in 2014 by the TF DAVAO, 10th Infantry Division, PA in USOT (Urban Security Operations Training) for special events, holidays and festivals in Davao City to assist as force multipliers everytime unit is attached to TF DAVAO.
