24th Regiment of Bengal Native Infantry

This article is about the Bengal Native Infantry unit that was disarmed in 1857. For the unit that existed after 1861, see 20th Duke of Cambridge's Own Infantry (Brownlow's Punjabis).

Chronology

In 1861, after the mutiny, the title was given to the 8th Regiment of Punjab Infantry which later became the 24th Regiment of Punjab Infantry.[2]
