2014 Muzaffarnagar triple murder

2014 Muzaffarnagar triple murder [1] was the brutal murder of three factory labourers in Bahadurpur Indiawhich led to communal tension.[2]

Three victims were identified as Surender, Sunder and Kunwarpal.[3] Their mutilated bodies were found by villagers after searching the nearby fields.[4] Villagers blocked the national highway [5] and organized a mahapanchayat to protest against the killings.[6]

Mohd Gulfam, Mohsin, Mohd Anis and Mohd Yunus were arrested for the crime.[7][8] Since the murders, the situation in the village has been tense and there have been reports of ‘masked men’ and ‘shadowy figures’ in the fringes of the village. Police stated that no evidence had been found to justify these reports and dismissed them as rumours.[9]
