Finals stint

The U-Tex Wranglers became the second team, after Mariwasa-Honda Panthers in the first conference of the season, to march into the finals and break the monopoly of Crispa-Toyota finals meeting when they entered in the championship round of the Open Conference. The Wranglers, under former team manager and now head coach Tommy Manotoc, who replaces Narciso Bernardo at the start of the second conference, lost to Crispa Redmanizers in a hard-fought, five-game series.
