Time for Love is a mini-album that contains a refreshing mix of five original and distinctly Filipino pop songs, plus their respective minus one tracks. The slambum aspires to define the sound of today’s OPM pop genre, as it brings together critically acclaimed producer and arranger Jonathan Ong of SonicState Studio and brilliant singer-composer and vocal arranger Myrus in an impressive creative synergy.

The opening track and 1:43’s latest hit single, “PiNK” (Pag-Ibig Na Kaya?), is a collaboration track with Myrus. Penned by Eric Cabahug, “PiNK” is a catchy song about falling in love. Top music blogger www.justinbreathes.com describes the song as "an example of how good Filipino pop can be."[2]

"Para Kang" is a witty, metaphorical expression of the miracle that is love. Fun, playful and lively, the lyrics and melody are reminiscent of the sound of '90s pop rock.

"Sa Puso Ko’y Ikaw", a song that declares a deep, sincere and honest love. This is the first recorded song composition by Myrus—and listening to this track is like getting hit by Cupid's arrow! It’s a potential big hit with its catchy, radio-friendly, easy-listening melody and commercial appeal.

"Time For Love", the title track, is the only English song in the album. It is an upbeat song that gives tribute to 1:43’s cult following and their official fans club who call themselves “Time for Love” or T4L. This song is a collaboration between Cabahug, who wrote the lyrics, and Myrus, who did the melody.

The slambum has received encouraging reviews from music critics. According to www.justinbreathes.com: “With this album, I find that 1:43 is committed to become an OPM pop act with a direction. The overall sound is genuine and distinctly good Filipino pop, something I rarely hear in mainstream music today, and something the boys of 1:43 are willing to deliver."[3]

They are currently busy on promoting OPM from the Album - (Tunog Natin "Songs From Home") a Compilation Album with 16 legendary and upcoming OPM artists including rock legend Pepe Smith, APO Hiking Society's Jim Paredes, Myrus, Princess Velasco, Gloc-9, Tanya Markova, Arnee Hidalgo, Letter Day Story, Kiss Jane, Mcoy Fundales, Barbie Almalbis, Tricia Garcia, Faith Cuneta, Sheng Belmonte and True Faith.

1:43 released their second album on www.mymusicstore.com.ph on September 17, 2012 and the physical album on September 25, 2012 under MCA Music. It was titled "Sa Isang Sulyap Mo" after their monster hit single and highly viral music video. It instantly landed on the No 3 spot of the best selling online albums in the Philippines on September 22, 2012 in MyMusicStore.

"Sa Isang Sulyap Mo" as seen on different over 420 branches of Mang Inasal Restaurants in the Philippines. The music video is a part of the Mang Inasal Mang Aawit music advocacy program.

The album’s romantic carrier single “Sa Isang Sulyap” swept through the airwaves and became a phenomenal radio hit with listeners, especially among teens. It dominated most of the radio charts all over the Philippines and earned the No. 1 spot in the Philippine Radio Music Chart OPM Top 20 for a few weeks and was likewise included in the OPM MYX Countdown.

There are now over 8,000 videos posted on YouTube using “Sa Isang Sulyap”—all in all, these videos have been viewed more than 32 million times. It is also one of the most downloaded songs today by mobile phone users.

"Sa Isang Sulyap Mo” includes all-original tracks written by the sentimental prince of Original Pilipino Music (OPM) Myrus and arranged by Jonathan Ong of SonicState Studio.

From the looks of it, 1:43 has an even bigger hit in their new album as its carrier single continues to peak in popularity: “Sa Isang Sulyap” went on to become the official soundtrack of “Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition 4”. It has been played in popular TV shows like “ASAP 2012,” “Party Pilipinas,” “Gandang Gabi Vice,” “The Buzz,” “Walang Tulugan,” “KrisTV,” “Mars,” “Luv U,” “Happy Together,” “Angelito: Ang Batang Ama,” and many more.

Aside from the monster hit “Sa Isang Sulyap Mo” and its acoustic version, the album features three newly recorded songs composed by Myrus that are definitive of the OPM pop sound today. The mid-tempo songs “Halika Na,” which also has an acoustic version, is about strong bonds of friendship while “Umaga, Tanghali, Gabi” talks about a lingering kind of love.

Meanwhile, the album’s final track “Hiling” is a classic OPM ballad about loving someone unreachable. It is the first time for the boy band, known for its feel-good brand of music, has ever recorded a sad song.

2012-2013: Sa Isang Sulyap Mo, rise to fame and line-up changes

Their single "Sa Isang Sulyap Mo" has become widely popular after being featured in the 2012 reality show, Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Edition 4. The group has since guested in many shows namely Kris TV. Its lead single, titled "Ang Saya-Saya", was used as the theme song for GMA-7's comedy TV series Ismol Family.[10][11][12]

On January 9, 2015, it was announced that Yheen Valero would be joining the band.[13] While there was no formal announcement regarding Golding's departure from the group, he later tweeted on February 9 about pursuing a career as a pilot.[14] On the same month, the group released their single, titled "Tara Na", the first material to feature Valero.
