Óscar Melendo Jiménez (born 23 August 1997) is a Spanish professional footballer who plays for RCD Espanyol B as a central midfielder.

Club career

Born in Barcelona, Catalonia, Melendo joined RCD Espanyol's youth setup in 2003, aged six.[1] On 8 June 2016 he was promoted to the reserves in Segunda División B,[2] and signed a three-year contract with the club on 20 July.[3]

Melendo made his senior debut on 20 August 2016, starting in a 1–1 away draw against UE Llagostera. On 20 November he made his first team – and La Liga – debut, coming on as a second half substitute for Hernán Pérez in a 0–1 win at Deportivo Alavés.[4]
